Question: Where do I find info on Longaberger Textile Baskets?

I have inherited a rather large (40 in. long x 25.5 in. wide x 28 in. tall) basket on casters. I was told a long time ago that it was an orginal Longaberger textile basket, used in the textile mills. I have not been able to find any information on this or any textile basket/bin. Does anyone have any information or know where I can find information to confirm or deny that its a Longaberger? I contacted the company several weeks ago and recieved no reply.

Answer: Newark, Ohio. The Longaberger Basket Company was found in the 1930's. Baskets are great collector items, and the one you have, depending on age and style, may be worth 100's of $. Go to Longaberger.com and you will find many sources. Independant collectors, like my sister-in-law search the web for these baskets. BY the way, the main office building for Longaberger is an large building in the form of a basket. Good Luck!
